1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Heiko Picksmeier-Piening, Campingplatz Dümmersee, Family Picksmeier-Piening, Zum Fischerhafen 15, 49448 Hüde, Germany. You can contact us by telephone on 05443 / 8912 or by email at info@campingplatz-duemmersee.de.
2. Scope and legal bases
We process personal data only where this is necessary to operate the website, respond to enquiries, prepare or perform a contract, meet legal obligations, protect the website, or provide optional content selected by you. Depending on the purpose, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) or (f) GDPR.
3. Hosting and server logs
When you access this website, the hosting systems may process your IP address, date and time, requested file or page, referrer, browser and operating system information, HTTP status and transferred data volume. This is required to deliver the website, maintain stability and investigate misuse or attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Server log data is normally deleted after no more than seven days unless longer storage is required to investigate a specific security incident or comply with a legal obligation.
4. Contact and availability requests
If you use the availability form or contact us by email, we process your name, email address, preferred stay, requested dates and message. We use this information only to handle your enquiry, prepare a booking or communicate about an existing stay. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for general enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Form submissions are sent to our business email inbox. We delete enquiry data when it is no longer required, unless statutory retention duties or an ongoing contractual relationship require longer storage.
5. Cookies and consent choices
We use necessary cookies and local storage where required for security, basic website functions and remembering your language or consent choice. Optional external media is blocked until you consent. CookieYes manages the consent banner and records your selection in your browser. The consent choice is configured to expire after 365 days and can be changed at any time using the cookie choices button.
6. Google Maps and Wistia videos
Google Maps and Wistia videos are optional external media. They load only after you have granted the corresponding consent. When enabled, the provider may receive your IP address, device and browser information and information about how you interact with the map or video. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data may be transferred to the United States; your consent also covers this possible transfer under Article 49(1)(a) GDPR.
7. Booking and external links
The booking button opens the external CampBuchung service. Social-media links also take you to the websites of the respective providers. No data is sent to those services merely because the links are displayed on this website; their own privacy terms apply once you open them.
8. Local fonts and website tools
The fonts used by this website are hosted locally. Loading a page therefore does not create a connection to Google Fonts. Editing, translation, caching and form components run within the WordPress installation unless a feature described above is actively used.
9. Retention period
We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the stated purpose. Enquiry data is deleted after completion unless it becomes part of a booking or must be retained by law. Statutory commercial and tax retention obligations remain unaffected.
10. Your rights
You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability where the legal requirements are met. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
Competent supervisory authority:
The State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony
Prinzenstraße 5
30159 Hannover
lfd.niedersachsen.de
11. Security and changes
This website uses encrypted TLS transmission. We may update this privacy statement when legal requirements, services or data-processing activities change. The version published here is the current version.
12. Local, cookieless audience measurement
We use Koko Analytics inside this WordPress installation for anonymous audience measurement. It sets no cookies and sends no analytics data to third parties. To recognise repeat visits, it creates a one-way identifier from the IP address, browser identifier and a secret value that changes daily. The IP address and browser identifier are not stored, and the temporary identifier is deleted each day. Only aggregated page views, visits, viewed pages and referrers are retained. Logged-in administrators and editors are excluded from measurement. Aggregated statistics are deleted automatically after 36 months.
